Baseline Dodgeball Tournament 2015

Teams, you must turn in one completed yellow sheet, four signed blue sheets and $16 before 1st hour on March 5th. Don’t forget!

Who will be the winning team this year?

Teams are currently picking up information packets.  Official sign-ups will start on Monday, March 2nd and continue thru Thursday, March 5th.

To sign up, each team needs to have one completed yellow sheet, four signed blue sheets, and $16.

If a student would like to play dodgeball but is having trouble finding a whole team, they may contact Mrs. Brower or sign-up in the office.  Mrs. Brower will be helping students put teams together.

On Friday, March 6th, at 7:30 am, there will be a dodgeball team meeting for all players.  This meeting will take place in the gymnasium and last 15-20 minutes.

On Monday, March 9th, teams will be allowed to practice.  Each team will be given a practice time when they officially sign-up for the tournament.  Teams will practice after school in the gym at their scheduled time and be allowed to work on their team poster in the cafeteria until 4:30 pm.

This year the Baseline Dodgeball Tournament will feature a team poster contest.  Be creative and design the winning poster. The winning team will be announced on the second night of the tournament.

Baseline Dodgeball Tournament 2015

The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament is March 10th and 12th.

Hey all you BMS dodgeball fans, the tournament is just over two weeks away.  The kick-off video will be shown on Feb. 23rd.  Team packet information can be picked up Tuesday thru Friday mornings, February 24th – 27th, in the center circle.  Get your team together, remember you must have at least one person from each gender.  Each team only needs one packet.

Be thinking of a cool team name and get ready to officially sign-up Monday, March 2nd before first hour in the center circle.  Sign-ups will be closed after the start of first hour on Thursday, March 5th.

Each team will be assigned a practice time for Monday, March 9th after school.  The exact time will be given when the team officially enters the Baseline Middle School Dodgeball Tournament.

Each team will be required to create a team poster.  This can be done at home or while the team is waiting to practice after school on March 9th.  Be creative and win the team poster contest!

Baseline Dodgeball Tournament – 2015

The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament is getting closer!! Students should be thinking about their team and who the members are going to be.  The tournament will take place at Baseline Middle School on Tuesday, March 10th and Thursday, March 12th.

Students will be allowed to pick up team packets starting Monday, February 23rd.  Team signed up will begin on Monday, March 2nd.  So, get to planning and be ready to be this year’s champion!

Parents and guardians, we have not forgotten about you.  The parent tournament will take place again this year.  Get ready! Don’t allow the kids to have all the fun!!

New this year – team poster contest.  All teams will be required to create a team poster for opening ceremonies.  The posters will then be displayed in the hallway to be judged.  During Thursday night’s competition, the winning team will be presented with medallions.  More information will be given to each team when they officially sign up for the Baseline Dodgeball 2015 tournament.

The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament planning committee is hard at work.

This years tournament will take place on Tuesday and Thursday, March 10th and 12th, 2015.  The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament will be located at Baseline Middle School in South Haven, Michigan.

The student champions of the tournament will be crowned on Thursday night along with a team representing our parent champions.  A team will also be announced as the Baseline Dodgeball trivia champions and, for the first time, there will be a champion of the team poster contest.

Students should start organizing their teams.  Remember that each team consists of 4 players with at least one person of each gender.  The cost per person to compete is $4 ($16 for the whole team).

The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament is not a fund raiser.  The activity has been organized to bring students, staff, and families together to have fun.  Any money raised will be used to fund and improve the following years tournament.

Baseline Dodgeball Tournament 2014 is Here!

The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament Starts Tuesday, March 11!

The Baseline Middle School Annual Dodgeball Tournament starts Tuesday, March 11, and concludes Thursday, March 13, with the final games and the championship game.

There will be fun, sportsmanship, and hopefully parent participation in the parents matches. Plan on attending both nights for big excitement for both fans and students.

Refreshments will be available. So grab a bag of popcorn, a soda, water, or other snack and settle in for a boisterous good time!Baseline dodgeball tournament

The doors open at 6 PM, the Baseline Dodgeball Tournament starts at 6:30 and goes until 8:30. Admission is $1.00. Kids 5th grade and under need to be with an adult.

Let’s all remember to use good sportsmanship at all times. This is a fun event.

The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament was started by three teachers that just wanted to add a little fun into the students school year. They picked this time of year, between Christmas break and Spring break to inject a little spark of excitement and give them something out of the ordinary to look forward to.

It was a hit that became an annual event.

2013 Champions!

The championship game was won by Elijah Hedges, Frances Lyons, Mitchell Murk, and Hayley Krieger.  Will this team stay together in 2014 and win again?  If they do, they would be the second team in Baseline Middle School Dodgeball History to repeat.

Here is the 2013 Baseline Dodgeball Tournament Finals on video. It was a great year and a well attended event. Great sportsmanship and high-fives were exchanged after every game. Thank-you students, parents and fans!

Once again, a successful Baseline Dodgeball tournament, great sportsmanship by the students, awesome parents and fans in the stands!

A huge THANK-YOU to all the volunteers for all their effort, great attitudes, and taking time to make this a great event for the students. Without your help and giving it would be impossible for this worthwhile, fun, student event to take place like it has.

2013 Baseline Dodgeball Tournament

March 12th and 14th

Teams may begin signing up Tuesday morning, March 5th in the center circle before 1st hour.  Team captains need to have a completed yellow sheet, 4 signed blue sheets, and $16 when they arrive at the sign-up table.

Sign-ups will continue Wednesday morning and finish on Thursday morning.  Thursday is the last day a team can sign up.  No sign-ups will be taken on Friday. 

Team captains will be responsible for making sure each of their team members get their complementary dodgeball drawstring bag, have read the dodgeball rules, and attend the dodgeball meeting Friday morning, March 8th at 7:30 a.m. in the gymnasium.  All team members must attend this meeting.  The captain should also inform each of their team members about the teams scheduled practice time on Monday, March 11th.

On Monday, March 11th teams will be allowed to practice and/or create their team poster.  This will take place after school in the gymnasium and cafeteria.  Each team must have a poster.  The poster may be created at school or at home.  NO GLITTER is allowed on the poster.  The poster must be turned in to Mrs. Cowell or Mrs. Fouts no later than Tuesday morning, March 12th in the center circle before first hour.

The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament is just around the corner!

March 12th and 14th!!!!!

Students can pick up a team packet February 27th , 28th, March 1st, and March 4th in the center circle before first hour.  Each packet contains information about the tournament, a team sign-up form, a parent permission slip and a copy of the Baseline Dodgeball rules for each team member.

Teams may begin to sign up Tuesday morning, March 5th, before first hour in the center circle.  In order to officially sign up, each team must have the team sign-up form completely filled out, the 4 permission slips signed by each player’s parent, and a total of $16 ($4 from each player).

Once a team has signed up, a practice time will be given to the team captain.  Practice will be held on Monday, March 11th after school.  Practice is optional.  Each team will be given 15 minutes to practice.   

Each team is required to have a team poster for the opening ceremony.  The team can work on their team poster in the cafeteria before and/or after their practice time in the gym.  Posters can also be made at home.  Each team must turn in a poster by Tuesday morning, March 12th, before first hour.
