The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament will be March 8th and 10th. Unfortunately, the weather outside is frightful, but the thought of dodgeball is so delightful. And since we’ve no place to go, let’s catch the fever, catch the fever, let’s go! My temp doesn’t show signs of stopping and I’ve bought some medicine for coughing, but my temp won’t go way down low, so….let’s catch the fever, catch the fever, let’s go.
The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament for 2016 is just around the corner. This time of year it is easy to catch a fever and I think I have one……Dodgeball Fever that is!! The tournament will take place on March 8th and 10th. Wow, now this is the kind of fever I love!!!
The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament is only days away!!!
All dodgeball teams will be practicing on Monday, March 9th. Each team has a practice time. Players may stay after school and work on their team poster in the cafeteria while waiting for their scheduled time.
Membership bands will be given to each dodgeball player Monday at practice. This will get the player into the gym for no charge. All players should leave the band on all week.
Posters are required by each team and due no later than Tuesday morning (before first hour). No glitter is allowed on the poster.

Locker rooms will not be open Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday.
On Tuesday night there will be an opening ceremony starting at 6:30 pm. Dodgeball players should arrive at 6:00 pm and go directly to the cafeteria. Find your team number on a table. Stay at your table. Work on the trivia questions and get your team picture taken when requested to. Stay in the cafeteria until the ceremony begins. After the opening ceremony, teams will move to the reserved area in the bleachers.
On Thursday night, teams will arrive ready to play and sit in the reserved area of the bleachers.
The only item of jewelry allowed is the green membership band.
Show good sportsmanship at all times. Shake hands after each match!

Teams, you must turn in one completed yellow sheet, four signed blue sheets and $16 before 1st hour on March 5th. Don’t forget!
Who will be the winning team this year?
Teams are currently picking up information packets. Official sign-ups will start on Monday, March 2nd and continue thru Thursday, March 5th.
To sign up, each team needs to have one completed yellow sheet, four signed blue sheets, and $16.
If a student would like to play dodgeball but is having trouble finding a whole team, they may contact Mrs. Brower or sign-up in the office. Mrs. Brower will be helping students put teams together.
On Friday, March 6th, at 7:30 am, there will be a dodgeball team meeting for all players. This meeting will take place in the gymnasium and last 15-20 minutes.
On Monday, March 9th, teams will be allowed to practice. Each team will be given a practice time when they officially sign-up for the tournament. Teams will practice after school in the gym at their scheduled time and be allowed to work on their team poster in the cafeteria until 4:30 pm.
This year the Baseline Dodgeball Tournament will feature a team poster contest. Be creative and design the winning poster. The winning team will be announced on the second night of the tournament.

Hey all you BMS dodgeball fans, the tournament is just over two weeks away. The kick-off video will be shown on Feb. 23rd. Team packet information can be picked up Tuesday thru Friday mornings, February 24th – 27th, in the center circle. Get your team together, remember you must have at least one person from each gender. Each team only needs one packet.
Be thinking of a cool team name and get ready to officially sign-up Monday, March 2nd before first hour in the center circle. Sign-ups will be closed after the start of first hour on Thursday, March 5th.
Each team will be assigned a practice time for Monday, March 9th after school. The exact time will be given when the team officially enters the Baseline Middle School Dodgeball Tournament.

The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament is getting closer!! Students should be thinking about their team and who the members are going to be. The tournament will take place at Baseline Middle School on Tuesday, March 10th and Thursday, March 12th.
Students will be allowed to pick up team packets starting Monday, February 23rd. Team signed up will begin on Monday, March 2nd. So, get to planning and be ready to be this year’s champion!
Parents and guardians, we have not forgotten about you. The parent tournament will take place again this year. Get ready! Don’t allow the kids to have all the fun!!
New this year – team poster contest. All teams will be required to create a team poster for opening ceremonies. The posters will then be displayed in the hallway to be judged. During Thursday night’s competition, the winning team will be presented with medallions. More information will be given to each team when they officially sign up for the Baseline Dodgeball 2015 tournament.

This years tournament will take place on Tuesday and Thursday, March 10th and 12th, 2015. The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament will be located at Baseline Middle School in South Haven, Michigan.
The student champions of the tournament will be crowned on Thursday night along with a team representing our parent champions. A team will also be announced as the Baseline Dodgeball trivia champions and, for the first time, there will be a champion of the team poster contest.
Students should start organizing their teams. Remember that each team consists of 4 players with at least one person of each gender. The cost per person to compete is $4 ($16 for the whole team).
The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament is not a fund raiser. The activity has been organized to bring students, staff, and families together to have fun. Any money raised will be used to fund and improve the following years tournament.

It was a great Baseline Dodgeball Tournament! It was super competitive with outstanding sportsmanship. All teams shook hands after every match and smiles were everywhere!
There will be many photos and the championship game video in the very near future.
So, a BIG congratulations to the champions, the runner up team, all teams, parents and fans for supporting and participating in another successful Baseline Dodgeball Tournament!
A special and HUGE thank-you to all the volunteers. Without your help, your willingness to give time and physical effort (because I know some of you were sore and achy after putting nets up, I sure was) the Baseline Dodgeball Tournament would not succeed. You all deserve a big round of applause!
The Baseline Dodgeball Tournament Starts Tuesday, March 11!
The Baseline Middle School Annual Dodgeball Tournament starts Tuesday, March 11, and concludes Thursday, March 13, with the final games and the championship game.
There will be fun, sportsmanship, and hopefully parent participation in the parents matches. Plan on attending both nights for big excitement for both fans and students.
Refreshments will be available. So grab a bag of popcorn, a soda, water, or other snack and settle in for a boisterous good time!
The doors open at 6 PM, the Baseline Dodgeball Tournament starts at 6:30 and goes until 8:30. Admission is $1.00. Kids 5th grade and under need to be with an adult.
Let’s all remember to use good sportsmanship at all times. This is a fun event.

The Baseline DodgeballTournament was started by three teachers that just wanted to add a little fun into the students school year. They picked this time of year, between Christmas break and Spring break to inject a little spark of excitement and give them something out of the ordinary to look forward to.
